Hi. My name is Katy, and I'm a SLACKER.

I have been a SLACKER to say the LEAST. No blog posts since November?!?!? SHAME. ON. ME. I have been CAR-AAAAZY busy with my photography during the holidays, (but yahoo! that's a GOOD thing), however I have not taken time for myself at all. So my 2009 New Year's resolution is...(drum roll please...)... BALANCE. Ok, so I stole it from Oprah, so what? But I need it SO badly in so many ways- in life, in work, in everything. What good is it to work hard if you can't reap the benefits by playing hard? So after 12-14 hour days of working diligently the past month, I decided to take a little breather- a couple week bit of a hiatus shall I say. I read, went to the movies, played with my nephews, made dinner every night for my ridiculously understanding boyfriend, slept in... it was great! So now, after the storm has settled, I'm ready to go full force again now for the new year! I apologize for the late posts, but I want to share some of the awesome clients I had the past couple of months. It was such a great experience, and I've learned so much. I think patience is a big one. When it comes to taking shots of chickadees (my personal favorite word for kids), you're no doubt, on THEIR watch. It's so funny. No matter what I'm doing, (prancing around like a freak, trying anything to get the slightest of smiles out of 'em), it was worth it. You can't say I don't have enthusiasm that's for sure! So below are some samples of holiday pictures I did. Here's to 2009- a year that will hopefully be filled with hard work, great experiences, adventure, and most of all- BALANCE.
