jaime & todd.

Every time I'm by the beach I get this amazing ahhhhhh feeling deep in my soul. I'm not sure if it's the salty air, the ocean breeze, or all that relaxation floating around; I'm guessing all of the above. Saturday was the most perfect of beach days... 77 degrees and blue skies all around. Not only was it a perfect beach day, but a perfect day to shoot an engagement session outside.

Jaime and Todd are getting married in May. Jaime has two kids of her own, Olivia and Sam. This family is a photographer's dream for shooting. Not only are they all so darn easy to look at, but they genuinely seemed as if they liked being together. We met at a park in Hermosa Beach and decided to shoot over by this great tree.

They had these two huge St. Bernard's that were so sweet. I thought the idea of having family shots as part of their engagement shoot was really nice. The kids seemed to really like it as well.

I love the angle of this shot!

I asked Sam & Olivia what made them laugh and they whispered some things in each other's ear. I'm still not sure what exactly was said, but I sure got a cute photo opportunity out of it!

I asked Olivia to take her glasses off for a couple shots to help with the glare. I was BLOWN away on how gorgeous this little thing is. I can only imagine all the boys that'll be knocking down her door in a few years.

It was so fun to shoot the kids and see them become so comfortable with me in such a short period of time. Sam was a doll.

I love the candid sweetness of this shot...
