I had a shoot with some client's that had a whirlwind of change themselves. In the past year, Claudia and Channon's lives have turned full circle. Not only did they have their first baby, but also started a new business venture.
When Claudia asked me to shoot her I was super happy. Not just because I really love to do pregnancy shots, or that they were a great looking couple to add to my portfolio, but because she's very creative. I knew her ideas for the shoot would be original and fun.
I wasn't disappointed in the least bit. She wanted to incorporate her pregnancy with their new business, which is an automotive repair shop. I love the outcome of these shots! The raw feel of the tools and metal, compromised with her soft and beautiful maternal look. Claudia and I have the same idea when it comes to a woman's body when she's pregnant. It's such an amazing thing that another little person is growing inside her tummy, and photographs should embrace the beauty of this miracle.
Originally Channon wasn't supposed to be in any of the shots, but with a bit of cajoling, he gave in and I'm so happy he did. By the looks of the pictures, I think they are too.
